Departure ends two-year stint on Brit\u2019s board<\/p>\n
Nick Prettejohn is stepping down as a non-executive director of Lloyd\u2019s insurer Brit following his appointment as a non-executive director of the Prudential Regualtion Authority (PRA).<\/p>\n
A successor will be announced \u201cin due course\u201d, Brit said.<\/p>\n
His departure ends a two-year stint on Brit\u2019s board. Prettejohn is a well-known figure in the insurance industry. He was chief executive of Lloyd\u2019s between 1999 and 2005 and went on to run life insurer Prudential\u2019s UK operations.<\/p>\n
Brit chief executive Mark Cloutier said: \u201cSince his appointment to the board two years ago, we have benefited greatly from Nick\u2019s experience and knowledge of the industry and we are grateful for the contribution he has made to Brit\u2019s success.<\/p>\n
